The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) is a proponent of more environmentally friendly energy uses and is a forerunner in exploring and implementing environmentally sound energy uses and standards. The mission of the Sustainable Solutions Division is to integrate the needs of the environment with the requirements of energy. Plainly put, the vision is to power the District of Columbia with Green.
